Story of Sedona Pies

After watching the heart-warming story of a waitress in the movie called “Waitress,” I started to bake. Since I love to bake, I started doing some baking of pies and muffins and shared them with friends and neighbors. They were ecstatic and said what I made was very delicious.

On a trip to San Francisco, I didn’t want to go into the city one day and I asked if I could just stay and hang out at Doug & Diane place, (friends we were staying at) they said, “sure that’s fine with us”. Then, I asked if it would be okay if I made some pies? “Pie”, Doug said, Yes I replied, off to the store I went and bought a few ingredients to make pies. At the end of the day I had made 5 pies.

On the way home from San Francisco, I started to chat about it with Robin (my husband) about getting into the pie biz. So, for a couple of weekends I did some sampling of my pies at Linda & Ray’s yard sale. Over the course of two weekends – 200 samples were given away and had gotten some pretty good accolades without asking for them from people who tried one or two samples. I even had a guy call me back – just to tell me how “my pastry was awesome.”

Since the sampling, I been selling pies, getting the  website up, completed the brochure and continue to make up recipes, serve pie to friends, strangers.. The pies that I make a make-up are much like the recipes from the “ Waitress movie.” (I was a waitress for a few years too!)  are unique, as they are made up combination’s of flavors and ingredients that in turn make some very interesting flavors.

Sedona Pies was born “We feed the hungry one pie at a time.” We make Adult Gourmet Pies. Why adult you ask? Because they are made with  beer, wine and spirits, these are my specialties. Have made up to 18 flavors of pies however, I am just showcasing the top 10, and introducing a pie of the month with other flavors.

From here, I work with my Beta testers and I am known as “The Pie Princess”

We are a small artisan bakery, that will grow organically – through word of mouth, exhibiting, cross-promoting and  getting reviews and raves from my customers.

We offer Wedding Pies, or Grooms pie for any occasion you are celebrating. And then we do retail sales.

If you are local here in Sedona, Imagine Art is one of our vendors you can pick-up your pie/s there. Linda is open from 11am- 5pm. Once your order is in and you’ve paid for it on-line, between those hours you can pick-up your order there. Or we just make other arrangements. This is for retail sales. for weddings we handle the deliveries ourselves.
