A blast from the past

A blast from the past is a video about making crumbles with a girlfriend at the time, we created some video’s making pies.

P.J. had a different name in Sedona than she did in New Jersey, so I just called her PJ. She was fine with that. Here’s a video of us making crumbles. Between apple and plums, we got into a couple sticky situations.

This video was made in 2010.. I had a few Beta testers who would give me a thumbs up or thumbs down what they thought of my next concoction.

We had fun experimenting making up new ideas. Always adding some humor into our afternoon.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we were making the video and crumble.

Here’s the Crumble recipe:
1 pie shell 9″ (Make it yourself or buy one.)
2-3 cups of fruit could be apples, blueberries, plums, whatever is in season
(if you like it to be sweeter add 1/4 cup of sugar, to the fruit and mix it up)
Put the fruit in the pie shell.

The crumble is mixed separately and then sprinkled on the top of the fruit.

1/2 cup of flour
1/2 cup of oats or other cereal
1/2 cup of butter
1 tsp vanilla
Mix is all up until it is lumpy.. if it’s not lumpy add more oats or granola. To me it’s more about the crumble than the flour. Then sprinkle onto of the fruit.

Bake at 350F for about 30-40 minutes.
